What is the Pet Guard fence series by Medallion Fence?

The Pet Guard fence series by Medallion Fence is a collection of ornamental metal fencing designed with reduced picket spacing to safely contain small dogs, cats, and other pets. Unlike standard fencing, Pet Guard panels feature narrower gaps between pickets so small animals cannot squeeze through. The series includes 21 unique styles and is available in both Armour-Shield galvanized steel and Alu-Tuff marine-grade aluminum finishes. Every panel is manufactured in Canada and covered by a limited lifetime warranty.

How many styles are available in the Pet Guard series?

Medallion Fence offers 21 distinct Pet Guard fence styles: Alden, Aristocat-DR, Aristocrat, Aristocrat-DR-REO, Aristocrat-DR-REP, Cambridge, Cavalier, Cavalier-DR, Cavalier-DR-REO, Cavalier-DR-REP, Cavalier-DR-SF, Cavalier-DR-SF-REO, Cavalier-DR-SF-REP, Cavalier-SF, Imperial, Regal, Stanton, Stanton-REO, Stanton-REP, Sterling, and Windsor-A. Each style is available in both steel and aluminum material options.

What materials are Pet Guard fences made from?

Pet Guard fences are available in two material options. The Armour-Shield steel system features a hot-dip galvanized substrate with a zinc phosphate conversion coating and a UV-stable polyester powder topcoat for industry-leading corrosion protection. The Alu-Tuff aluminum system uses marine-grade aluminum alloy with a chromate conversion pretreatment and an AAMA 2604 compliant finish, providing a zero-maintenance lifecycle ideal for coastal or humid environments.

Does Medallion Fence offer a warranty on Pet Guard fences?

Yes. Every Medallion Fence product, including the Pet Guard series, is covered by a comprehensive limited lifetime warranty. All products are manufactured in Canada with in-house quality control, which includes precision welding and fabrication, advanced powder coating, multi-point quality inspection, and a controlled production environment.

Can I download technical drawings for Pet Guard fences?

Yes. Medallion Fence provides downloadable DWG (AutoCAD) and PDF specification sheets for every Pet Guard style in both the Armour-Shield steel and Alu-Tuff aluminum versions. These files are available directly on the Pet Guard series page at medallionfence.com/products/pet-guard/ and are designed for architects, specifiers, and contractors.

What is the difference between Armour-Shield and Alu-Tuff finishes?

Armour-Shield is Medallion Fence's proprietary steel finishing system that combines hot-dip galvanization with zinc phosphate conversion coating and a UV-stable polyester powder topcoat for exceptional corrosion resistance in demanding Canadian climates. Alu-Tuff is their aluminum system using marine-grade alloy with chromate conversion pretreatment and an AAMA 2604 compliant finish, offering inherent corrosion resistance and a zero-maintenance lifecycle. Armour-Shield is ideal for heavy-duty applications, while Alu-Tuff is best suited for coastal environments or projects requiring reduced maintenance.
