For architects and engineers in Canada, this standard is especially relevant because aluminum fencing has become increasingly popular for pool enclosures, residential perimeters, and light commercial applications. Aluminum does not rust, which makes it well suited for properties near the coast in British Columbia and the Maritimes, or anywhere that road salt exposure is a concern in Ontario and Quebec.
